The Director of Economic Development acts as a liaison between the business community and the City of Eden, serving as the direct link between public relations and  local businesses to promote city activities and new businesses.  Mr. Dougherty participates in the development of Eden's industrial sites, commercial business recruitment and manages the Eden Main Street Downtown Revitalization Program for the three downtown areas of Eden (The Boulevard, Draper Village and Olde Leaksville Shopping Districts).   He has participated in the development and coordination of special events and festivals within the city such as the Piedmont Pottery Festival, Ribfest and Riverfest.  He also assists the Eden Chamber of Commerce with special events such as the Annual Business Expo.  He is also involved with soliciting improved signage and road improvements to make it easier for travelers to discover Eden as well as initiating improvements in the Eden welcome signs.  Email Mike Dougherty

Cindy Adams - Coordinator of Tourism and Special Events

The Coordinator of Tourism and Special Events oversees the tourism development initiatives of the city, coordinates or assists in the coordination of special events/projects, assists with the Eden Main Street program and performs special projects for the various departments within the City of Eden as assigned by the City Manager.  Email Cindy Adams
